19In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. |
1This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; 2Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. |
17It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days YHVH made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. |
15All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust. |
4Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. |
10Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. |
25Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. |
5To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever. 6To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever. 7To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever: 8The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever: 9The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever. |
5Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. |
10The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors. |
5As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. |
7Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. |
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. |
5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: |
7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. |
15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. |
12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. |
8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. |
22 How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man. |
10Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers? |
4And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, |
38...which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. |
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. |
15And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein: |
24God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; |
9Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. |
9And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: |
16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: |
10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: |
13For Adam was first formed, then Eve. |
2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; |
3Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. |
5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: |
11Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. |
7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. |
